The Advanced Application Support (AAS) group provides consulting, training, software development, technical and advanced application support services to a diverse range of projects including XSEDE, Dark Energy Survey, NCSA Industry, Illinois Campus Cluster, and more. The group’s mission is to provide world-class consulting, training, and advanced user support to the campus and national community. The group comprises domain scientists in such fields as physics and chemical engineering, as well as general HPC specialists in code parallelization, optimization, tuning, debugging and programming models (MPI, OpenMP, OpenACC, etc) and specialists in databases, user support and training. The AAS group supports the national XSEDE user community, the Illinois Campus Cluster user community, as well as NCSA Industry projects.
